This specific “Writers ‘Round” community started in Los Angeles by @gregingoodcompany and they hold their event weekly at the North End in Hollywood @writers_round_la
There is now @writersroundoc @writersroundsd & @writersroundnj with more to come!
This mission behind these events is to create inclusivity and community among songwriters, both locally and nationally. The event is spreading nationwide and Knox is another chapter! Writers ‘Round is also a non-profit.
𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤:
Each event at @writersroundknox we will house 2 songwriter rounds. 1 ‘curated round’ and 1 ‘open round.’ The curated round will be chosen/invited in advance by our curators and be shared on social media.
In Nashville style, the songwriters will take the stage together while taking turns playing their original music. Before and in between rounds, audience members can submit their names in our hat for the opportunity to play the open round, that will then be hand picked by artists from the curated round!

It will be at @barleysknoxville in the downtown old city of Knoxville in their backroom space.

Doors/open round signups are at 7:00pm.
Music starts at 7:30pm.
