Here Today: SVA x NYC Design Week

Here Today invites you to explore the next generation of design innovation through a showcase of work from the MFA Interaction Design, Products of Design, and Design for Social Innovation programs at the School of Visual Arts.

The SVA Graduate Center highlights exceptional projects from MFA students, spanning digital and physical experiences, products, services and systems design. Also go behind the scenes to visit the studios of three departments and take a deeper look into our distinctive processes and partnerships:

• MFA Interaction Design: Discover how interaction designers are shaping the future through inclusive tools, systems, and experiences. From AI-driven tools to speculative design, the work reflects a range of approaches to shaping how people engage with information, environments, and one another. Meet SVA faculty and founders of Spatial Pixel and step into a programmable, multimodal space where interactions jump off the screen and into our everyday environments.
  
• MFA Products of Design: Experience the power and promise of design when physical, digital, and experiential, meld together with policy, business, and people. In today’s shifting terrain of design, discover how a focus on both physical and digital products—simultaneously— is essential to addressing critical questions about how objects shape our lives, the impact of digitization and AI, and the importance of justice in our design pursuits.

MFA Design for Social Innovation: Through inspiring interventions, social issues, and partners, experience how MFA Design for Social Innovation designers find a common thread in future-building. See how social innovation through co-design and community-led collaborations support critical and more equitable relationships between designers and their communities. How do we co-design the future we want to see?
